Coaching for Calm, Confident Alcohol-Free Living
I work with capable, caring women who look “fine” on the outside — but inside feel tired, stuck, or quietly questioning their relationship with alcohol, stress, or themselves.
My coaching is informed by lived experience, professional training, and collaboration with leading researchers in alcohol and behaviour change — including work connected to Why We Drink Too Much.
This means you get support that’s human, informed, and practical — not generic advice.

Annie Knowles provides specialised support for staff working in the NHS and other Blue Light emergency services, including Fire, Ambulance, and Police. Through the Blue Light & NHS Alcohol Experiment, she helps individuals take a 30-day break from alcohol in a supportive and understanding community.
This initiative is designed specifically for those in high-pressure roles, offering guidance, resources, and peer support to explore life without alcohol in a non-judgemental and compassionate space. Participants gain valuable insights into their relationship with alcohol and develop healthier coping strategies, all while being supported by others who truly understand the unique challenges of working in frontline services.
Why People Trust My Work
Alongside my personal journey, I bring professional experience and evidence-based training to my work.
I’m the co-creator of the 100-Day Reset, a structured programme supporting women to rethink alcohol, reduce stress, and build calmer, more confident lives.
I also collaborate with Professor Charles Knowles, co-author of Why We Drink Too Much, contributing lived experience, coaching insight, and real-world application to the science behind drinking behaviour.
My background includes 33 years in the NHS, alcohol education training, coaching qualifications, and ongoing professional supervision.
Everything I offer is grounded in compassion, integrity, and real life — not quick fixes or pressure.
“Annie is passionate about the benefits that being sober brings and so I was delighted to have a coaching session with her to kick start my own journey.”
